The Skyrim infinite loading screen appears to players who want to create a new save file and start playing the game. It’s the loading screen before entering the game at all and it often appears to users who have just installed the game or to users who have added new mods and who want to launch a new game with those mods installed. Load up your plugins (all of them) into xEdit and filter by conflict. Go one by one down the list and expand only the NPC section of each plugin (many won’t even touch it). Mine were things like NPC overhauls (obviously), Guard Armor Replacer, AI Overhaul, and random quest mods that altered the items the NPCs had on them.
Ah, loading screens.
Arguably the one part of Skyrim that you never think about changing at all. Ironically, changing your loading screen can feel like a breath of fresh air after years of reading the same damn text after you fast travel or enter a city.
In any case, I feel like a change could do you a lot of good.
From loading screens that provide comedic relief, to outright blank loading screens for you minimalist lovers, this list has it all.

15. Fix for Infinite Loading Screens
I have to start with this mod, although it doesn’t really change the loading screens directly.
But you might want to get it installed before adding any of the other mods on this list.
See, this mod fixes that annoying issue that sometimes occur where the loading screens never seem to work properly. And it makes them go away as soon as the loading time finishes.
It’s a small fix that’ll save more time than you think. Gone are the days of having to restart your game once every few hours.
14. Loading Screens Artworks
We have all grown to associate Skyrim loading screens with those 3D models of creatures, weapons, or items that simply spin around your screen.
However, with the Loading Screens Artworks mod, all those models will be replaced by dozens of different Skyrim drawings & concept art.
This will make you want the game to never load so you can just keep looking.
I’m assuming that the creator of this mod took a ton of these images from Pinterest and isn’t properly crediting the authors, but I can’t say for sure.
Either way they do look pretty cool, so I’m not going to complain.
13. Blank Loading Screen
Arguably one of my favorite loading screen mods, this one simply removes everything from your screen.
That’s right – you won’t have to look at anything while the game loads.
A black screen. That’s it.
I mean, what’s not to love about that?
If you’re tired of reading the same stuff over and over again then I’d suggest this one for sure.
You won’t have to look at anything other than your phone until the game loads and you can play again.
12. Pong in Loading Screen
Oh man. This mod takes interactive loading screens to the next level, even though it’s far from immersive if you’re trying to get into whichever type of Dragonborn you’re playing.
This adds an interactive pong game to the screen while Skyrim loads.
It’s fully interactive, and you get to compete with the computer trying to best itself at its own game.
If you have the game difficulty set to low, you’ll probably find the game of pong to be more challenging than Skyrim itself. Up to you to decide what to do with it.
11. Loading Screens Text
Variety is one of the main keys of a happy life.
And this mod provides enough variety to keep you entertained for many playthroughs.
Download windows 95 boot disk. It adds over 200 new text lines that overwrite some of the ones that come with vanilla Skyrim.
Some of these will make you laugh, others will piss you off.
That’s why I said variety is key – not everything is easy in life, nor is everything something that you like. I guess that’s kinda the lesson here?
10. Funny Wisdom Loading Screens
The creator of this mod replaced all of the game’s loading screen text with quotes from actual comedians.
And I have to say, they got a chuckle or two out of me.
However, what truly makes this mod perfect is the fact that the items, weapons, and creatures of the loading screens are left there.
Imagine reading a Dave Chappelle quote that’s just standing there at the side of an ogre. Yea now you can picture pretty much what this game comes with.
It’s sure to cheer you up any day of the week.
9. Simple Loading Screen
Those of you who love the minimalistic ways of life are going to absolutely love this mod.
It replaces all the loading screen text with the words “loading” and removes all of the 3D models.
If you’re tired of reading the same text, but you don’t a blank screen is the way to go, you should give this mod a try.
You’ll probably still end up looking at your phone while the game loads. But at least you can tell when it’s still loading or not.
8. Loading Screens with Extra Sarcasm
Not everyone digs sarcasm.
But this mod is actually pretty funny.
Give it a try if you want to feel attacked by your own game. You might feel like your intelligence is being insulted, but don’t get too upset. It’s all in good fun, right?
7. Uncle Sheo’s Legendary Loading Screens
Sheogorath would be the uncle that we would all love to have.
The dude just seems like the perfect combination of insane and funny. And even though you might be better off not being related to a Daedric Prince, it would be pretty funny to have this dude at a family reunion.
Well this mod gets you as close to that as possible, even though it still makes it impossible for you to directly interact with the Prince.
Every loading screen will be replaced with a quote taken directly from the Mad Prince himself. And you’ll get to enjoy his sayings every time that you leave one area for another. A win/win!
6. Replace Main Menu and Loading Screen Fog with Snow
This one is a small change, but one that looks pretty darn good.
Instead of the traditional Skyrim fog that shows when the screen loads, you’ll now see snow.
Yep, that’s all this one does.
I don’t think I need to go into any more details, right? If you love wintery themes then snag it!
5. KenMod – Time on Loading Screen
This is just a small mod that doesn’t add a full type of new loading screen to the game, but trust me: you’ll love it.
It displays the current time of your computer on any loading screen. It’s compatible with other loading screen mods too, although I didn’t try it out with more than a couple others on this list.
But this will save you the trouble of having to tab out of the game to check the time if you don’t have your phone on hand.
Super useful mod – unless you want to completely ignore reality with Skyrim, in which case yeah maybe skip this one.
4. Nexus Community Loading Screens Project
As you might see from all of my mod rankings, I am a huge fan of the Nexus.
I‘ve been using this platform since the days of Oblivion (I played Morrowind years after it came out). And I’m happy to see the community has gotten together to create a different set of loading screens for the game.
Every single screen here has been submitted by a Nexus user. Yes, some are absolutely terrible… but most of them are great!

2. Awesome Loading Screen Replacement
Arguably my favorite mod on this list, I’m only ranking it here because I wanted to take a more lore-friendly approach to the big #1.
Free tennis ladder template printable with lines. But this fantastic mod adds an animated bear with a Skyrim helmet and a sword, drinking booze, then replaces every loading screen in the game with the animation. Feels like Siberian, right?
Not only is it hilarious to look at, but the fact that no 3D models load also helps with your load times.

If you’re a fan of getting truly immersed into games, you’re going to love this mod with all your heart and soul.
It comes packed with over 150 new lore-rich quotes that will help you learn new stuff about the world of Skyrim.
It adds quotes from in-game books, little-known facts about the game’s universe, and much more.
Give it a try and let out your inner Elder Scrolls fan.

TBBP Animation w/Butt Bounce (Link)
When playing in third-person the entire backside of the character is present and accounted for. With this new mod, the player can easily gain a little bounce in their bottom. The 'jiggling' butt should give you something to look at.
Lust Design - Sovngarde Steel Armor (Link)
Everyone knows the old joke: the less armor a female character is wearing within a role-playing game, the higher her defense. This mod keeps that simple principle by offering a very skimpy form of the steel armor within the game. Nothing will be left to the imagination here.
Dark Lilth Sexy Armor (Link)
Much like the Lust Design, this armor gets rid of almost everything that would actually protect someone, say a human being, and enables a larger chest, bigger thighs, and a bouncier booty to enjoy. The clothing is nearly falling off the player models.
Sexy Swimsuit and Bikinis (Link)
CBBE is one of the most popular modifications for the NSFW crowd in Skyrim. This particular mod suite offers new clothing to ensure your female NPC has an increased breast size and the pushup effect to make them look even bigger. Butts look bigger and better, too.
UNP Minidress Collection (Link)
For some, less is more, but for others, a scantily clad woman in a minidress is the epitome of sexy. The UNP collection offers a variety of styles to get your character looking sexier.
Seductress Serana (Link)
Even the creator acknowledges how purely sexual this Serana character appears to be. With 10 hair options, 5 eyes, 3 hair colors, and 4 body types, you can truly get anything you want from this particular mod. It will definitely be sexy.
Project Sekirei Sexy Japanese Clothes (Link)
There are millions of people out there who find the Japanese to be incredibly exotic and sexy. So, it makes sense this modification would appear on Nexus. These clothes are all styled after old-school Japanese dresses and lingerie, but they generally offer the same pushup modification we've seen before.
Sexy Mannequins (Link)
Perhaps living, breathing, moving NPCs are not your thing? Perhaps you'd prefer to play around with a sexy mannequin instead? These body types will allow you to connect various pieces of armor and leave them standing around your house in a creepy fashion.
Latex Corset (Link)
Steel armor is fine and all, but a latex corset just screams 'dragon-slayer'. This black corset is stylish, laced up the middle, and features matching stockings, too. It comes in more than just black, though, so choose any color to get your loins moving.
Sexy Loadscreens (Link)
The loading screens within Skyrim were already pretty great, but this mod makes them a little more enticing. With this variety of pack of sexy screens, you can check out scantily clad humans, elves, and more as you wait for the game to be ready.
Nude Females (Link)
Obviously, the biggest NSFW mod for Skyrim is one that removes the clothing of every single female character within the role-playing game. That is exactly what Nude Females does. These aren't dolls, though. The mod also adds what goes underneath the clothing, too.
Chainmail Bikini (Link)
Again, less is more. Apparently. This chainmail bikini covers the important parts with the thick, metallic fiber, but leaves the rest open to the world. There is very little left to the imagination here.
Hairless and Dirtless Nude Males (Link)
Of course, women NPCs aren't the only ones people want to look at within Skyrim. This particular mod ensures every single male NPC in the game removes their clothing and sheds the dirt that covers their body.
Sexy Robes (Link)
There are two main files to download here, and both of them are very NSFW. The nocturnal robes and archmage robes both show off enough of the female form to ensure everyone can get a peek underneath.
Female Cool Underwear (Link)
The general underwear option within Skyrim when the character is not wearing any form of armor looks rather like a diaper. This mod replaces that with something a little sexier. Imagine a bit of lace and soft cotton.
Lady of Death Set (Link)
When you want to look exquisite with a brand new set of apparel that is more revealing than anything else, then the Lady of Death set could be your best choice. The armor lacks the material one would think normal in protective clothing, leaving the chest wide open.
Sexy Apparel Replacer (Link)
This replaces almost every single clothing option within the game with something a bit different. You can choose what your character will wear - or will barely wear, for that matter. The armor shows off plenty of cleavage and thongs.
Smooth Male Body (Link)
Instead of having a rough male character, this mod gives every male NPC in the game the chance to have silky smooth skin. If you think the abs and chest of a warrior should shine and glisten, now they can.
Sporty Sexy Sweat (Link)
Being a warrior is tiring work, so it is completely normal to sweat more than normal. Now, with this modification, your character can sweat, allowing their body to glisten and appear sexier than normal.
Female Textures Renewal (Link)
When you want your female to actually look more realistically feminine, this is the mod you download. It improves the textures to 2K, enhancing almost every inch of the female body in Skyrim.
Caliente's Beautiful Body Edition (CBBE) (Link)
Of course, not a single NSFW mod would be possible without CBBE, which adds in the perfect foundation for NPC and character animations and looks. Almost every single mod is compatible, too, so you can enjoy the sleek, slender look of your characters with any armor.
Dimonized UNP Female Body (Link)
When you're looking for a petite, sexy figure for your character, then UNP is the mod to download. You can even choose from smaller or larger breast sizes. It is not realistic eye candy, and may not even by human-like, but it certainly looks good.
Temptress Race (Link)
The Temptress race will allow the player to select a custom race at the beginning of the game. It has a few pre-requisites to download, but those are easy enough to acquire. You can even have a Temptress as your companion.
Maids II: Deception (Link)
Upon downloading this mod, the player will be notified of a maid cleaning their player home. This maid, obviously being NSFW, can be dressed in a variety of skimpy clothing while she goes about her business. More maids can be unlocked over time.
Tesg Loadscreen Replacer
Better Males (Link)
This is similar to the previous male body enhancement mod, but less well known. Better Males offers:
'Nudes for males. New meshes, feet and hands improved (Beast races supported). Skin cleaned and realistic (Hairy Options). Better and younger faces. Long and beautiful hairs for males.'

For everyone wanting to take the Enhanced Blood mod a step further, Deadly Mutilation will allow the removal of body parts from NPCs during combat. Feel like chopping off an arm or head? Well, not you can do just that.
