This guide will focus on a few different ways to use your iPad as a stand alone car stereo.
In my T-Bird, I am using the iPad as my only audio source. This is a great way to keep your system simple and save space if you don't have room for a car stereo head unit, or if you prefer not to run one.
In the old days, you had to yank out your car’s ECU and send it to a specialist to be flashed and tuned. Today, you can simply plug a device called a performance tuner into your car’s OBD2 diagnostic port that will monitor and improve performance over time.
Performance Monitors like the Bully Dog Watchdog Monitor can also run performance tests on your vehicle for stats like horsepower and torque, and you can use them to keep track of your 0-60 and 1/8-mile times, keeping you informed about every aspect of your car or truck's performance. Rebooting the device will fix the issue most of the time, but just like in Mac OS X, there's a way to quickly purge the RAM on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch to improve performance. If you have an iPhone X, the process is different, so check out the guide linked below if that's you.
This can be setup by using a Belkin 3.5 Audio + Charge cable, with an Apple USB-C to Lighting Cable and Belkin USB-C 36 watt Car Charger for fast charging with audio out. A 3.5mm to RCA cable can connect to a volume controller or directly to an amplifier that supports a dash mountable volume knob. Below are some examples.
The diagram below shows the iPad connecting to the Belkin cable, then to an AudioControl Overdrive (two channel volume controller) which has two RCA pre-outs to connect to your car amplifier/s. The AudioControl ACR-1 Dash Control is required to adjust volume from your dashboard.
If you are planning a small system, the JL Audio XD700/5 amplifier has the ability to accept two channels of audio in (from the Belkin cable) and supply signal for all five channels of output by setting the input switch to 'two channel'. With the HD-RLC volume knob, you are able to control the output of all five channels.
For high end systems with multiple amplifiers, you may choose to use a Digital Signal Processor as your volume controller. Most DSP units feature six to eight channels of output (RCA outs) and more features such as an Equalizer, Digital Crossovers, Time Delay, Balance, Fader and Subwoofer level control. Audison Bit Ten D and AudioControl audio processors shown below.
A COOL WIRELESS OPTION FOR FLOAT-MOUNTS!AudioControl also manufactures a line of quality audio processors. The D-6.1200 Is a six channel amplifier with a built in audio processor. Volume can be controlled from the dash via the ACR-3 Dash Control and audio can be streamed directly to the D-6.1200 with the AC-BT24 accessory. NOTE! that the iPad will not automatically pair to the AC-BT24, you must pair from settings.

Dyno TuningNew state-of-the-art, fully insulated dyno room.
Our new 15,000 foot facility features a new, custom-built Dynojet® ('Eddy Current' loaded in-ground chassis dyno) with dual 15,000 CFM, 3-phase powered fans, with a variable frequency drive. This allows us to push up to 30,000 CFM of air through the dyno room to remove ALL horsepower reducing carbon monoxide and maintain a constant temperature. We also have movable, strategic fans to be positioned to concentrate airflow to a smaller area such as intercoolers or radiators. Our goal is to simulate exact highway driving conditions over a long period of time.
Our uniquely configured dynamometer, allows the operator to add incremental load on the engine for trouble shooting, advanced tuning, and realistic aerodynamic load simulation. The DynoJet® 224xLC still operates on the consistent, proven, and reliable 'inertia' based drum - where the roller weighs a fixed amount (3,300 pounds), but also allows for additional resistance to the vehicle. It combines the benefits of a standard DynoJet® and a Mustang dyno into one unit, with none of the limitations of either.
Our testing facility performs functions that most shops neglect: detailed logging, graphing and multiple input comparisons. Information such as, pressure drop across the intercooler core, intake track, and intake versus charge temperature can be logged. You might be wondering if your intercooler is too small or if a larger intercooler would be of benefit. Our thorough processes will graph results and yield analytical results. We can also determine if you are losing boost in the intercooler (pressure drop) or elsewhere in the charge system.
Grade daily assignments welcome to mrs bryan's learning cafe eat n park. Our dyno is available for tuning sessions or dyno days for clubs or race teams starting at $150/hour with a two hour minimum. Discount available for full-day rental.

Transmissions & TransaxlesPart of the equation for reliable power delivery
Any real enthusiast knows true performance comes from more than just adding horsepower. The components between the motor and wheels needs as much planning and knowledge as the big air pump feeding the power. Dallas Performance has the experience needed to make sure your new power can get to the road with reliably and consistency.Replacing parts, or even dropping in a new unit, is often needed - and we know what it needed and when. Need gearing for top speed events? We do that for many of our clients. Drag racing or doing time attack events? Not a problem. We also make sure clutches and other parts match the car's purpose, and your driving style.
